  General Notes:

Johannes got the deed to the Børregården farm in 1865 for 500 kr. He moved there a bit later and lived there until 1872. Then he emigrated with his entire family to the USA.

  Noted events in his life were:

• He was a joiner [snedker] in 1865 in Korsegården, Askim, Østfold, Norway.

• He was confirmed on 1 Oct 1848 in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway. ¹ He was 14 2/3 years old and living on the Katralen farm.

Johannes married Maren Gundersdatter, daughter of Gunder Kristensen Gjellestad and Ragnhild Torersdatter Henstad, on 11 Apr 1862 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Maren Gundersdatter was born on 17 Jan 1839 in Gjellestad, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 27 Jan 1839 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

In 1865 they were leasing the Korsgaarden farm in Askim. They had their two children Ludvig and Gina with them ⁵
