Johanne married Justinius Andersen Kjellås, son of Anders Andersen and Karen Jonsen, on 22 Jun 1876 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Justinius Andersen Kjellås was born on 15 Sep 1854 in Fogelvik, Sweden, died on 24 Jun 1921 in Aas, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 1 Jul 1921.)

Justinius Andersson and Johanne Torersdatter lived on the Berg (u. Søndre Rom) farm in Askim at the time her parents lived there, in 1882, when Justinius and Johanne moved to Sweden. They went back to Askim in 1897 and took over the Kjellås farm.

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Kjellås (bnr. 3) farm. They had three sons and two daughters with them: Thorvald, Johan, Klara, Anna, and Konrad. Justinius' widowed mother was also living with them. There were also 9 or 10 canal workers living on the farm, all from out of town. Their oldest son, Anton, was living on another part of the Kjellås farm at the time. ⁴
