Maria kept the vestre Auten farm after Ole died and until she died in 1872.

  Research Notes:

In the 1865 census she owned part (92a, 93) of the Auten farm in Askim. She was 73 years old and widowed. With her were two of her children, Johanne and Helene, both unmarried, and a fosterson Carl Johannesen, 12 years old and born in Askim.

There is a baptism record for Maria Larsdatter dated 20 May 1793. Her parents were recorded as Lars Christensen og Johanne Thorersdatter Dalleruud. ^{4 5}

She was 79¾ years old when she died.

Maria married Ole Iversen Auten, son of Iver Pedersen Auten and Ragnhild Aslaksdatter, on 26 Aug 1817 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Ole Iversen Auten was born in 1787 in Auten, Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 15 Jan 1856 in Auten, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 24 Jan 1856 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)
