  General Notes:

In the 1865 census he was 3 years old and living on one (87a1) of the Løken nordre farms with his parents and siblings.

In 1900 Anton's widowed mother sold him both the vestre Løken and the Stegen farms for 11 000 kr. He had previously owned the Berg farm, in Hobøl, and went by the name Løken Berg. In 1910 he sold Berg. In 1918 he bought the Mellegård farm and moved there. But in 1920 he bought the Fagerli parcel of vestre Løken and built a house there.

Anton married Hanna Mathea Karlsdatter Hov, daughter of Karl Hansen Hov and Karen Kristiansdatter Gram, on 22 Mar 1889 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Hanna Mathea Karlsdatter Hov was born on 31 May 1865 in Hov, Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 30 Nov 1893 and was buried in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

Anton next married Helene Sofie Kværner, daughter of Gunder Kristensen and Karine Nilsdatter, after 1893. (Helene Sofie Kværner was born on 27 Jan 1865 in Opsal, Enebakk, Akershus, Norway, died on 9 Mar 1946 and was buried in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 Anton and Sofie Løken owned and farmed the Berg (Gnr 43, Bnr 1,2) farm in Hobøl. They had 5 children with them: Nils Antonsen Berg, Aagot Antonsdatter Berg, Dagny Antonsdatter Berg, Amanda Løken, and Anton Løken. Also with them was Anton's widowed mother, Inger Marie Løken.

In October 1912 the family was living on Løken in Askim. ^{6 7}
