Another name for Alexander was Aleksander Johansen Raanaas. General Notes: In the census for 1900 he was widowed and living with his daughter Johanne and her family on Gurud østre in Askim. Alexander married Karen Christensdatter. (Karen Christensdatter was born circa 1827 in Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway and died before 1901.) Marriage Notes: In 1865 they owned and farmed Bagge - Raanaas, Tippenhoug, in Eidsberg. They had six daughters and two sons. There were also two servants. 2 |
