Johanne next married Gunerius Halvorsen, son of Halvor Gulmundsen and Sophie Christensdatter, on 6 Sep 1896 in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Gunerius Halvorsen was born on 12 Dec 1844 in Våler, Hærland, Østfold, Norway, died on 28 Sep 1912 and was buried on 8 Oct 1912.)

  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Gurud østre farm in Askim. There were three of Joahanne's daughters from a previous relationship and three fosterdaughters with them. Johanne's widowed father was also there.

There were also a number of people living there that either worked on the farm or were working on a canal. Two of these were Edvardt Johannesen Løken and his wife Johanne H Løken. ²
