Gunerius next married Johanne Marie Alexandersdatter, daughter of Alexander Johannesen and Karen Christensdatter, on 6 Sep 1896 in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Johanne Marie Alexandersdatter was born on 6 Jul 1856 in Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Gurud østre farm in Askim. There were three of Joahanne's daughters from a previous relationship and three fosterdaughters with them. Johanne's widowed father was also there.

There were also a number of people living there that either worked on the farm or were working on a canal. Two of these were Edvardt Johannesen Løken and his wife Johanne H Løken. ³
