Cause of her death was pneumonia [lungebetennelse]. Other names for Maren were Maren Sofie, Maren Sofie Andresen Hobølhagen and Maren Pettersdatter. Research Notes: The census for 1900 lists Maren Petersdatter as being born in 1851. She was 15 years old in the census for 1865. 4 5 Maren married Anton Andersen Hobølhagen. (Anton Andersen Hobølhagen was born in 1849 in Bjørnstad, Hærland, Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway, died on 11 Mar 1924 and was buried on 21 Mar 1924 in Askim new churchyard, Askim, Østfold, Norway.) Marriage Notes: In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Hobølhagen farm in Askim. They had two sons with them: Kristian and Magnus. There was also a pensioner, Peter Matissen, born 1822 in Eidsberg, who was Maren's father. 4 |
