   Other names for Ole were Ole Galtebu/Kampenes and Ole Thorersen.

Ole farmed the Galtebu farm in Askim from 1775.

In 1784 Ole bought the Kampenes farm from his brother-in-law Tosten Hansen Torkelsrud who was married to Ole's sister Maria. Ole's father had previously owned the farm. Ole farmed both farms until 1789 and lived on Galtebu.

In 1789 he sold Galtebu and moved to Kampenes, which he farmed until he died in 1821.

The 1801 census shows Ole as a 53 year old and widowed on the Campenæs farm. He was a farmer and had four of his children with him: Ole was 27 and unmarried, Thore was 16, Mathis was 12, and Thorer was 10 years old. ⁵

Ole married Berte Larsdatter Slengebråte on 1 Feb 1776 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Berte Larsdatter Slengebråte was born circa 1746 and died in 1793.)
