Gunder was from Nakkim in Degernes. He lived in Rakkestad before he bought the Kverne farm in Askim for 12 800 kr in 1892.

He was living on Kværner when he died in 1906. His death record indicates that his wife survived him.

  Research Notes:

The Gårdshistorie incorrectly records his year of death as 1905.

Gunder married Karine Nilsdatter. (Karine Nilsdatter was born in 1839 in Rakkestad, Østfold, Norway and died in 1905.)

  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Kværne (bnr. 2) farm in Askim. They had 2 sons and a daughter with them, all unmarried: Peder, Christian, and Anne. ⁴
