  Marriage Notes:

In the 1865 census they owned and farmed part (135a) of the Kvakkestad farm in Askim. With them they had their three sons, five daughters, a servant, a lodger, and Syver's 73 year old widowed mother.

In January 1866, when their daughter Maren Sophie was baptised, they were called Syver Pousen og Marthe Marie Thoresdr Qvakkestad. 1 4

Syver next married Julie Andersdatter, daughter of Anders Jensen Kråkerud and Kristine Jonsdatter, on 23 Mar 1869 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Julie Andersdatter was born on 19 Dec 1845 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 4 Jan 1846 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 5 Sep 1902 in Kvakkestad, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 12 Sep 1902.)


  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Kvakkestad (bnr. 1) farm in Askim. They had two daughters and three sons with them: Marie, Kristine, Anders, Hendrik, and Søren. There were also five canal workers from Sweden and a servant living on the farm. 7
