Other names for Lars were Langenæs and Langnæs. General Notes: Lars took over the østre Langnes farm after his father and worked it until 1916. He then sold it to his daughter Karoline and his son-in-law Hans Kristian Pedersen Aas. Lars had a child with Elen Karine Olsdatter Sando. Lars next married Marie Hansdatter, daughter of Hans Hellesen Myraas and Unknown, on 28 Dec 1872 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Marie Hansdatter was born on 22 Dec 1847 in Myrås (Krogstadpl.), Herland, Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway, died on 8 Dec 1904 in Haraldstadholen, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 20 Dec 1904.) Marriage Notes: In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Langnes østre farm in Askim. They had five of their children with them, all unmarried: Olaf, Hans, Elise, Johannes, and Martha. Lars' widowed mother also lived with them, and the previous farmer, Ole Klausen, was also there. 7 |
