On 10 October 1785 Anders Olsen bought the Onstad Søndre farm in Askim from Jens Tronsen for 700 rdl. His oldest son, Mathis, took it over.

Det er den eneste Anders Olsen som ble døpt i Askim på den tiden.

He was 80 years old when he died.

Anders married Mari Jensdatter on 6 Nov 1775 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Mari Jensdatter was born circa 1750 and died on 11 Nov 1831.)

  Marriage Notes:

When they married they were recorded as Anders Olsøn Dramstad og Mari Jensdatter Onstad.

In 1801 the family was living on the Onstad farm in Askim. Anders was 49 and Mari was 50 years old. Their five children were with them: Mathis (21), Povel (18), Johannes (13), Andreas (10), and Marthe (8). Lars was not listed so probably died before the census.
