When they married they were recorded as Niels Erichsen Holter og Rangnild Gudmunsdatter Holter.

Nils and Ragnhild lived on the Langbråten farm in 1790 when they had their son Halvor. ¹

Ragnhild next married Johannes Engebretsen on 30 Oct 1797 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.² (Johannes Engebretsen was born circa 1775.)

In 1801 they were cottagers on the Skavogg farm in Askim. He was 26 years old and in his first marriage. She was 36 and in her second. Her two children from her first marriage were with them: Halvor Nielsen (10) and Marthe Nielsdatter (8). Her first child, Erik, was not there. ⁴
