Hans married Maria Ingemundsdatter Mørktved Lille, daughter of Ingemund Thorersen and Marthe Erichsdatter, on 26 Mar 1850 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Maria Ingemundsdatter Mørktved Lille was born on 3 Jul 1827 in Mørkvedt lille, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 8 Jul 1827 in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 17 Jan 1893 in Solli, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 31 Jan 1893 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)


  Marriage Notes:

He was 26 and she was 23 years old when they married in 1850. He was from the Solberg farm in Askim and she was from the Lille Mørktved farm. The best men at their marriage were Anders Solberg and Johannes Tømt.

In December 1850 when their son Mathis was christened they were named Hans Mathisen og Maria Ingemundsdr Soli. They were recorded the same when their son Rudolf was christened in April 1855.

In the 1865 census they owned and farmed one (18c2) of the Solie farms in Askim, and had 6 sons. Hans was then 42 and Maria was 39. 1 3
