   Another name for Johanne was Johanne Valentinsen Aas.

  General Notes:

In 1865 "Johanna" was 24 years old and a servant for Peder Christiansen and Kirstine Nilsdatter on Ihlen nordre in Askim.

In 1900 Johanne was widowed and working as a housekeeper on Toengen in Askim for Jens Andersen. There were nine lodgers there, mostly canal workers.

The Gårdshistorie incorrectly records the year of her death as 1922.


Johanne married Peder Hansen Kjellegård. (Peder Hansen Kjellegård was born in 1835 in Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway, died on 28 Dec 1888 in Kjellegård, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 8 Jan 1889 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)


  Marriage Notes:

Peder Hansen and Johanne Valentinsdatter took over the Kjellegård farm in 1872.

In 1891 they lived on Ås, of the Kvakkestad farm, as cottagers. The daughters Tora, Valborg and Elise were confirmed there in 1893, '95 and '98.
