  General Notes:

Peder was from Hauggård in Rakkestad. He bought the Kvakkestad farm in 1763 for 920 rdl. He moved to Hauggård in 1776 and he didn't return to Kvakkestad before 1807. He then lived there until he died. In 1811 he sold the farm to his son Paul for 8000 rdl.

  Medical Notes:

His age at death was 71 years 8 months 3 weeks and 3 days. This would make his year of birth 1741.

Peder married Anne Jensdatter Gjulem. (Anne Jensdatter Gjulem was born in 1742 and died in 1777.)

Peder next married Kirsti Kristensdatter Oraug, daughter of Kristen Jonsen Oraug and Anne Aslaksdatter, on 16 Jul 1777 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Kirsti Kristensdatter Oraug was born in 1760, died on 20 Nov 1832 in Kvakkestad, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 1 Dec 1832 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

In the 1801 census they were farming Hougaard in Rakkestad. Peder was 57 and in his second marriage. Kirsti was 40 and in her first. They had their five children with them. ⁴
