  General Notes:

Elise's mother, Sofie, had children with two men. It is not known for certain which children Sofie had with which man. Ragnhild Sofie Maseng gave indications that Elise was a child of Sofie outside marriage.

She is buried in grave no 830 in Askim churchyard.

Elise married Johannes Olsen Maseng, son of Ole Andersen Maseng and Ragnhild Mattisdatter Torp, on 17 Nov 1889 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Johannes Olsen Maseng was born on 14 Oct 1860 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and died on 26 Sep 1940 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they were on the Bilit farm in Askim. They had a general store [Landhandleri] there. Their first three children were with them. Johannes' older brother, Hans Kristian, and his family also lived on Bilit running a gunsmith shop.

In October 1916 the family was living on Haugerud in Askim. ^{5 6}
