Ellen married Hans Torsen. (Hans Torsen was born circa 1813 in Eidsberg, Østfold, Norway.)   Marriage Notes: Hans and Ellen were cottagers on the England (u. Sekkelsten) farm in Askim from 1852 until 1856. In the late 1850's they were cottagers on the Askedal (u. Massengen) farm. In 1872 they moved to the Finnsrud u. Katralen farm. In the 1865 census they were cottagers with land on the Eiebakke søndre del farm. Hans was 53 and Elen was 48 years old. At the time they had 3 sons and 2 daughters with them, all unmarried. 5
