  General Notes:

The census of 1865 shows Iver Gulbrandsen, 39 years old, born in Eidsberg, and working as a servant on the Kampenæs farm in Askim for 81 year old Rønnaug Iversdatter. Ole Gulbrandsen was also serving there, 38 years old, and born in Eidsberg. Ole and Iver were brothers. Rønnaug was their father's sister.

In about 1873 Iver bought Kampenes for 2360 spdl. Iver had earlier lived in Trøgstad and on a place under Kråka in Eidsber, and he had also been to the USA once.

In the census for 1900 he was a widower. He owned and farmed the Torp nordre farm in Spydeberg. His daughter Ragna and her family lived with him.


Iver married Maria Kristensdatter, daughter of Kristen Gulbrandsen Kjellegård and Tore Amundsdatter Ilen, on 26 Nov 1872 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Maria Kristensdatter was born on 6 Sep 1831 in Romsplads, Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 18 Feb 1897 in Kampenes, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 26 Feb 1897 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

They also had stillborn sons in 1874 and 1879.
