Marte married Hans Torsen Slette, son of Torer Hansen Slette and Kari Kristensdatter, circa 1768. (Hans Torsen Slette was born in 1744 in Enebakk, Akershus, Norway, died on 26 Oct 1823 in Risengen, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 2 Nov 1823 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

In 1801 the family was on the Riseng farm in Askim. Hans and Marthe were both 57 years old and both in their first marriage. With them were their three children: Peder (24), Dorthe (19) and Karen (16), all unmarried. Hans' sister's son, Christen Christensen (16), was also with them. ³
