In the census for 1801 he was 18 years old, unmarried, and living with his parents and siblings on the Berger farm in Eidsberg.

He bought the Dramstad farm from Thorer Hansen in March 1808 for 1649 rdl. He sold it to his brother, Hans Hansen, in May 1822 for 1400 Norske Speciedaler.


Ole married Marthe Erichsdatter, daughter of Erich Hansen Kjeserud and Marthe Clemetsdatter Gudim, on 10 May 1805.
