  Research Notes:

In the census for 1865 she was 6 years old and lived on the Thorkelsrud farm in Eidsberg with her parents and siblings. She was the youngest of 7 children.

When her son Axel was baptised in January 1889 her year of birth was recorded as 1863. 6


Johanne married Anton Mathisen Gudim, son of Mattis Andreassen Gudim and Maren Gundersdatter Grøtvedt Nordre. (Anton Mathisen Gudim was born on 25 Aug 1855 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and died in 1936.)


  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Gudim nedre (bnr. 1) farm in Askim. They had their two daughters and four sons with them. There were also two servants and a Swedish family.

They were living on Gudim in October 1915. 2
