Rønaug Giertsdatter 1

  • Born: 26 Dec 1752, Lie, Spydeberg, Østfold, Norway
  • Marriage (1): Peder
  • Marriage (2): Erik Mattiassen on 19 Jan 1788 in Spydeberg, Østfold, Norway
  • Died: After 1801, Torp, Hæli Annex, Spydeberg, Østfold, Norway

Another name for Rønaug was Rønnoug Gertdatter.

  General Notes:

It is not clear who her mother was. Clara Clausdatter is reported to have died in 1748 and Rønaug was born in 1752. If those are accurate, her mother should be Anne Halvorsdatter.

Rønaug married Peder. (Peder died before 1790.)

  Marriage Notes:

Rønaug's younger son from her marriage with Peder, Ole Pedersen, was born in ca 1787. Her older daughter from her second marriage with Erik Mattiassen, Oloug Erichsdatter, was born ca 1791. It is probable that Peder died ca 1789.

Rønaug next married Erik Mattiassen, son of Mattias Paulsen Salseng/Fusk and Ellen Erichsdatter Dramstad, on 19 Jan 1788 in Spydeberg, Østfold, Norway. (Erik Mattiassen was born in 1757 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and died after 1801 in Torp, Hæli Annex, Spydeberg, Østfold, Norway.)

  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1801 they were living and farming at Hæli Annex in Spydeberg. He was 44 years old and in his first marriage. She was 48 years old and in her second marriage. They had two sons from Rønaug's first marriage and three daughters of their own with them. 2
