   Another name for Paul was Povel Brynildsen Rom Nordre.

In 1797 Paul bought from his father both the Rom farm and the Spydeberg church for 2 700 rdl. In 1838 he split the farm between his two sons-in-law Hans Torersen and Kristian Paulsen.

He was recorded as 80 years old when he died.

Paul married Inger Olsdatter on 30 Jan 1800 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Inger Olsdatter was born circa 1777, died in Apr 1811 in nordre Rom, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 21 Apr 1811 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

In 1801 they were on the Rom Nordre farm in Askim. Paul was 40 and Inger was 25 years old, both in their first marriage. Paul's elderly parents were with them. ⁴
