Ole Laurits Gundersen, who had leased the Østby farm from 1873, took over the Moseby farm in 1896. He was the son of Gunder Larsen Katralen.


Ole married Inger Kirstine Kristiansdatter Østby, daughter of Kristian Henriksen Tovengen and Karen Jørgensdatter Østby, on 10 Jun 1873 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Inger Kirstine Kristiansdatter Østby was born on 21 Jan 1853 in Onstadplass, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 27 Feb 1853 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 13 Oct 1923 in Moseby, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 23 Oct 1923 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.) The cause of her death was bronchitis [bronkitt].


  Marriage Notes:

Inger and Laurits worked the Østby farm from 1873 until 1896 when they took over the Moseby farm.

In the census for 1900 Laurits Gundersen and Inger Kristine Kristiansdatter were farming Moseby. Their five sons and their daughter Gusta were with them. His oldest child, Karoline, was working on the Auten farm for the widower Johan Johannessen who she later married.
