Maria married Pedro II the Catholic of Aragón, son of Alphonso II the Chaste of Aragón and Sancha of Castile, in 1204. (Pedro II the Catholic of Aragón was born in 1174 and died on 12 Sep 1213 in Battle of Muret.) The cause of his death was slain in battle.
