General Notes: Princess Aspasia Manos and her daughter were the only persons with greek blood in the Royal Family of Greece! Noted events in her life were: • She was a Princess of Greece. Aspasia married Alexander I Oldenburg, son of Constantine I of Greece Oldenburg and Sophie Dorothea Ulrica Hohenzollern, on 4 Nov 1919 in Athens, Greece. (Alexander I Oldenburg was born on 1 Aug 1893 in Tatoi, near Athens, Greece and died on 25 Oct 1920 in Athens, Greece.) The cause of his death was sepsis, after he had been bitten by a pet monkey. Marriage Notes: They had only one child, Alexandra, born posthumously. |
