  General Notes:

Princess Aspasia Manos and her daughter were the only persons with greek blood in the Royal Family of Greece!

Aspasia died in Venice in Italy and was initially interred at the cemetery of San Michele island near Venice. Her remains were later transferred to the royal cemetery plot in the park of Tatoi, at Dekéleia (23 km north of Athens).

Aspasia married Alexander I Oldenburg, son of Constantine I of Greece Oldenburg and Sophie Dorothea Ulrica Hohenzollern, on 4 Nov 1919 in Athens, Greece. (Alexander I Oldenburg was born on 1 Aug 1893 in Tatoi, near Athens, Greece and died on 25 Oct 1920 in Athens, Greece.) The cause of his death was sepsis, after he had been bitten by a pet monkey.


  Marriage Notes:

They had only one child, Alexandra, born posthumously.
