Karl next married Annunciata of Sicily de Bourbon on 21 Oct 1862 in Venice, Italy.¹ (Annunciata of Sicily de Bourbon was born on 24 Mar 1843 and died on 4 May 1871.)

Karl next married Maria Teresa da Imaculda de Bragança, daughter of Miguel I of Portugal de Bragança and Adelheid Rosenberg, on 23 Jul 1873 in Kleinheubach, , Bayern, Germany. (Maria Teresa da Imaculda de Bragança was born in 1855 and died on 12 Feb 1944.)
