Another name for Joan was Jeanne. General Notes: Her father, grandfather, and brother were all somewhat mentally unstable, and Jeanne seems to have inherited this family ailment. She suffered a complete nervous breakdown after the birth of her seventh child. Her eldest surviving son, Charles VI, was famous for his insanity. Noted events in her life were: • She was a Queen of France. Joan married Charles V the Wise of France de Valois, son of John II the Good of France de Valois and Bonne of Luxemburg, on 8 Apr 1350 in Tain-en-Viennois. (Charles V the Wise of France de Valois was born on 21 Jan 1338 in Vincennes, France and died on 16 Sep 1380 in Nogent-sur-Marne, France.) |
