She was the daughter of Ulric Manfred of Turin and widow of Otto of Schweinfurt.

Irmgard married Otto of Schweinfurt, son of Henry von Schweinfurt and Gerberge von Henneberg. (Otto of Schweinfurt died on 28 Sep 1057.)

Their children were:
Bertha or Alberada (died 1 April 1103 ), married firstly Herman II, Count of Kastl , and married secondly Frederick, Count of Kastl;
Gisela, inherited Kulmbach and Plassenburg , married Berthold III, Count of Andechs;
Judith (d. 1104 </wiki/1104> ), married firstly Conrad I, Duke of Bavaria , and secondly Botho, Count of Pottenstein;
Eilika, abbess of Niedermünster;
Beatrice ( 1040 \endash 1140 ), inherited Schweinfut, married Henry II, Count of Hildrizhausen and Margrave of the Nordgau.

Irmgard next married Egbert I of Meissen. (Egbert I of Meissen died on 11 Jan 1068.)
