Stanley Thomas was a wonderful man. He was quiet spoken, but with meaning. He was a miner for Inco in Sudbury for over 30 years, but his passions were painting, photography and flying planes. He went to art school in the 1960's and sold a few pieces. He always flew small bush planes during his off time from Inco. He loved his children and would do anything for them. He died very suddenly from a massive coronary at the bottom of a ski hill. He had just finished talking about how happy he was.
Stanley married Mary McCormick on 22 Jan 1971. The marriage ended in divorce on 17 Dec 1981. (Mary McCormick was born on 14 Dec 1945.)

Stanley next married Susan Jean Mavin in 1980.
