Cause of her death was the plague. General Notes: She was a daughter of count Henry I of Champagne. Marie married Baldwin I of Constantinople, son of Baldwin V of Hainault and Margaret of Flanders, in 1186. (Baldwin I of Constantinople was born in 1172 and died in 1205 in Bulgaria.) |
