General Notes: She was daughter of the famous Huguenot leader, Admiral de Coligny, and was the fourth wife of William the Silent. Louise married Charles de Téligny. Louise next married William I "Maurice" Silent de Nassau, son of William de Nassau-Dillenburg and Juliane von Stolberg-Wernigerode, on 12 Apr 1583. (William I "Maurice" Silent de Nassau was born on 25 Apr 1533 and died on 10 Jul 1584 in Delft, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands.) The cause of his death was murder. |
