Anne Maria was 28 years old when she married Andreas in December 1849. Her father was Halvor Østensen. She was from a Løken plads farm in Askim, previously from Oppegaard.

In the census for 1900 she was widowed and living with her daughter Regine's family on the England farm in Askim. She was listed as being born in 1819 in Oppegaard, Akershus, and was impoverished [Fattigunderst].


Anne married Andreas Kristiansen, son of Christian Andersen and Dorthe Hansdatter, on 27 Dec 1849 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Andreas Kristiansen was born on 14 Apr 1825 in Løkenbråtan, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 24 Apr 1825 in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway and died in 1889.)


  Marriage Notes:

The best men at their marriage were Peter and Christian Tømmeraas.

In June 1851 when their son Carl was christened they were called Andreas Christiansen og Anne Maria Halvorsdr Gurud.

In 1865 they were cottagers with land on the Myra farm in Askim. They had five children at the time with them. 1 3
