   Another name for Mattias was Mathiis Thoersøn Nordre Schiolden.

  General Notes:

Mattias farmed the eastern half of the Nord-Skjolden farm in Askim from 1740 until 1745, when he moved to the Hon farm.

Mattias leased the Hon farm from 1746 until 1776.

  Research Notes:

It is not clear which of Tor Hansen's wives was the mother of Mattias. Tor's first wife died ca 1720. Mattias' siblings were all born many years before him (ca 1700 - ca 1705). It is assumed that Tor's second wife was Mattias mother.

Mattias married Mari Hansdatter, daughter of Hans Iversen Huer and Mari Aslaksdatter, on 26 Oct 1740 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Mari Hansdatter was born circa 1723 in Moseby, Askim, Østfold, Norway and died in 1775.)

In 1756 they were recorded as Mathiis og Mari Hoen. ¹
