Lloyd was in Patton's 3rd army in Germany 1943-45, and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for bravery.

"Lloyd H. Oasheim
Lloyd Harold Oasheim, 150 Cherokee Way, died Friday afternoon at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Denver at age 50.
Mr. Oasheim came to Boulder in February this year from Reno, Nev.
He was born in Lancaster, Minnesota, on June 20,1921. He was a World War II Army veteran, and worked as a schoolteacher in Reno. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa fraternity and the V.F.W.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie and Laurie Beth Oasheim in Beaumont, Texas; three brothers; Grant in Boulder; Roy in Hoople, North Dakota; and Gordon in Chicago, Illinois; three sisters; Mable Sundem and Evelyn Hanson, both of Lancaster, Minnesota; and his mother, Emelia Johanson Oasheim of Boulder.
Services will be held at the Stennes-Hughes Funeral Home in Hallock, Minnesota. Howe Mortuary handled arrangements locally."
Lloyd married Martha White in Mar 1950. The marriage ended in divorce in 1955.
Lloyd next married Judy in 1961.
