Another name for Victoria was Alexandrina-Victoria. Noted events in her life were: • Acceded: Queen of Britain, 1838. • She was an Empress of India. Victoria married Albert Augustus Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, son of Ernest I of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld and Louise of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg, on 10 Feb 1840 in Chapel Royal, St James Palace, England. (Albert Augustus Saxe-Coburg-Gotha was born on 26 Aug 1819 in Schloss Rosenau, Near Coburg, Germany and died on 14 Dec 1861 in Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England.) The cause of his death was typhoid. |
