Inger was a widow when she married Jørgen in 1803.

The 1801 census records an Inger Tostensdatter married with Christen Olsen who owned the Solie farm in Spydeberg. They were both in their first marriage. He was 29 years old and she was 28. They had a son, 3 year old Johannes Christensen, with them. This is possibly the same Inger Tostensdatter.

There is a marriage record in Spydeberg dated 09 Nov 1797 for Christen Olsen _ Hovie og p. Inger Tostensdatter Solberg.

There is a record in Spydeberg of Johannes Christensen, born 23 Jun 1798, baptised 08 Jul 1798. His parents were recorded as Christen Olsen og Inger Tostensdatter Solie. His godparents were Maria Jonsrud, Magrete Tonerud, Maria Tonerud, Christen Tonerud, and Christopher Solberg.

There is a birth record in Spydeberg for an Inger dated 12 Dec 1772, baptised on 17 Jan 1773. Her father was recorded as Thorsten Rud. This is possibly the same as Inger Tostensdatter. Godparents listed were Ingeborg Smedelytten (mother?), Mari Braaten, Simen Rud, Iver Smedelytten, and Anders Smedelytten.

There is a record in Spydeberg for the death of Christen Ingstad, buried 04 Aug 1801, at the age of 30.

There is a burial record for a Torsten Nielsen Rud in Spydeberg on 16 Apr 1773. He was 39 years old. This is possibly Thorsten Rud, the father of Inger. 1 2 3


Inger married Jørgen Gulbrandsen Lier Nordre on 7 Jul 1803 in Spydeberg, Østfold, Norway.1 (Jørgen Gulbrandsen Lier Nordre was born circa 1780, died on 19 Mar 1846 in nordre Lier, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 30 Mar 1846 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)
