  General Notes:

The 1865 Census for Trøgstad shows only one likely "Petrine". On the Næs nordre (mellem) farm there lived Petrine Olsdatter, 15 years old, and a maidservant. Also on the farm were her brother, Johan Olsen, farmowner, 25 years old, born in Trøgstad; Petrine Holmsdatter, the wife of Johan, 22 years old and born in Eidsberg; Sofus Johansen, their 1 year old son; and Nekolai Gulbrandsen [Logerende], an unmarried 18 year old shoemaker.

The Ministerialbok records the baptism of a Petrine Olsdatter, born on 10 Dec 1851 and baptised on 04 Jan 1852. She was the daughter of Ole Larsen and Christine Pedersdatter Næs.

Petrine married Gulbrand Olsen, son of Ole Guttormsen Pella and Marthe Andersdatter, on 6 Apr 1878 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway.1 (Gulbrand Olsen was born on 1 Jan 1853 in Pella, Båstad, Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway, christened on 16 Jan 1853 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway, died on 3 Oct 1923 in Skjolden, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 12 Oct 1923.) The cause of his death was heart attack [kjerneslag].


  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1900 they lived on the Snuta farm in Askim. They had three sons and two daughters with them, all unmarried. 4
