Anastasia of Kiev Yaroslavna 1 2 3
Another name for Anastasia was Anastasia Yaroslavsdatter of Kiev. General Notes: Trade with the East and West played an important role in Kievan Rus in the 11th century, and Yaroslav maintained diplomatic relations with the European states. His daughters Elizabeth, Anna, and Anastasia were married respectively to Harald III of Norway, Henry I of France, and Andrew I of Hungary. Anastasia married Andrew I of Hungary, son of Vazul of Hungary and Unknown, in 1038. (Andrew I of Hungary was born circa 1001 in Esztergom, Komárom-Esztergom, Hungary and died after 6 Jul 1060 in Zirc, Veszprem, Hungary.) Marriage Notes: Their marriage date is also recorded as ca. 1046 which is probably incorrect given the birthdates of the children. |
