There is a baptism record in 1754 in Trøgstad for a Kari Joensdatter, daughter of Joen Evensen Aasengen and Mari Olsdatter. This is the only baptism record of a Kari Jonsdatter in Trøgstad and in Askim between 1754 and 1757, and is possibly the same Kari Jonsdatter. ⁵

Kari married Guttorm Larsen Ruud, son of Lars Thorersen Øiestad and Abel Benjaminsdatter, on 16 Jul 1782 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Guttorm Larsen Ruud was born in 1754 and died on 31 Jul 1789 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway.)

When they married they were recorded as widower Gutorm Larsen Ruud fra Trøgstad og Kari Johnsdatter m. Grøtvedt. ¹
