Berengaria married Alfonso IX of León, son of Ferdinand II of León and Urraca of Portugal, in 1197 in Valladolid, Spain. (Alfonso IX of León was born on 15 Aug 1171 in Zamora and died on 24 Sep 1230 in Villanueva de Sarria.)
