Medical Notes: Princess Martha suffered deteriorating health. She was admitted to hospital in 1951 with suspected jaundice. There were further admissions to hospital until she died on 5 April 1954. Märtha married Olav V of Norway Glücksburg, son of Charles Haakon VII of Norway Glücksburg and Maud Charlotte Mary Victoria Windsor, on 21 Mar 1929 in Oslo Cathedral, Oslo, Norway.
