General Notes: She married, firstly, John Hastings, 3rd Earl of Pembroke, son of John Hastings, 2nd Earl of Pembroke and Anne de Mauny, on 24 June 1380 at Kenilworth Castle, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, England. This marriage was annulled after 24 September 1383. Noted events in her life were: • Invested: Lady Companion, Order of the Garter, 1378. Elizabeth married John de Holand, son of Thomas de Holand and Joan "The Fair Maid of Kent" Plantagenet, on 24 Jun 1386 in Plymouth, Devon, England. (John de Holand was born circa 1352 and died circa 9 Jan 1400 in Pleshley, Essex, England.) The cause of his death was beheading. |
