Another name for Ulrica was Ulrike Eleonore von Holstein-Gottorp. General Notes: Ulrica Leonora succeeded her brother, Charles XII, under a new constitution that strengthened the nobles and clergy. Noted events in her life were: • She was employed from 1719 to 1720. Queen of Sweden. Ulrica married Frederick I of Sweden Hesse-Cassel, son of Karl I von Hessen-Kassel and Unknown, on 4 Apr 1715. (Frederick I of Sweden Hesse-Cassel was born on 17 Apr 1676 in Kassel, Hessen, Germany and died on 25 Mar 1751 in Stockholm, Sweden.) |
