His normal residence was in Sem, Vestfold. A note says, "Unitariske Samfund". Noted events in his life were: • He was a warehouseman [Lagerarbeider hos Hudhandler Østby] in 1900. Johan married Lena Gudbrandsen, daughter of Gudbrand Bergersen and Marie Hansdatter, on 11 Mar 1887 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway.1 (Lena Gudbrandsen was born on 10 Dec 1859 in Myraas, Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 19 Feb 1860 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway.)
