Theuderic III, King of the Franks 1
Another name for Theuderic was Thierry. General Notes: In 673, the young child Theuderic III became puppet king of Neustria, and when his brother Childeric II died in 675, king of all the Franks. In 687, he and the Austrasian Mayor of the Palace were defeated by Pepin II, grandson of Pepin I. He died at a young age in 691, and was succeeded by his son Clovis III. King of the Franks Theuderic married Clotilda of Heristal, daughter of Anchises (Ansegisel) and St Begga. (Clotilda of Heristal was born in 650 and died in 699.) |
