Christian married Sophie Magdalene Brandenburg-Kulmbach, daughter of Christian Henry Brandenburg-Kulmbach and Unknown, on 7 Aug 1721. (Sophie Magdalene Brandenburg-Kulmbach was born on 28 Nov 1700 and died on 27 May 1770 in Christiansborg, near Copenhagen, Denmark.)
