General Notes: On widowhood became a nun at Polesworth Abbey and transferred to Tamworth Abbey, Glocestershire where she was elected Abbess. She was canonised and her feast day is 15th July. Edith married Sitric Caoch, son of Sitric Halfdansson and Unknown, on 30 Jul 925 in Tamworth, Staffordshire, England. (Sitric Caoch died in 927.) |
